The new multimillion dollar North Florida Regional Transportation Management Center opened yesterday in the Jacksonville area. The focal point of the 25,000 square foot center is a 3×6 Activu-powered video wall that displays live video feed from hundreds of cameras installed on highways around the region. The state Department of Transportation and the Florida Highway Patrol will work together in the traffic center, using information about traffic to quickly send assistance where its needed.
