Summary:

Activu is seeking a market development manager.  This position is responsible for identifying sales opportunities early in their cycle and managing/nurturing relationships between Activu and the potential end user until the opportunity can be turned over to a sales person.

 

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate must be able to work independently, while also working effectively within a team environment. Must be professional, courteous, proactive, have strong written, oral, organizational and management skills and a mindset that helps to efficiently perform job duties.  In the position, the qualified candidate will:

  • Discover control room projects early in their cycle
  • Identify those that are qualified: winnable opportunities by Activu
  • Update and manage the CRM system as it relates to adding found control room projects and monitoring their status through the qualifying process
  • Manage/nurture the relationship between Activu and the potential end user until the opportunity has met the defined qualifying criteria at which time the opportunity will be turned over to the appropriate vertical market Sales person
    • All activity and interaction w/ the client will be recorded in the CRM
  • Schedule and facilitate an opportunity “turn over” meeting w/ the appropriate sales team
    members when qualifying criteria has been met. Topics of discussion to include:

    • Client’s expressed need
    • Timeline and dependencies (for example, new building)
    • Budget is likely and sufficient
    • Environment (wall size, # users, etc)
    • Competition
    • Path to win / procure (contract, sole source, etc)
    • Any other information deemed pertinent to winning the project
  • Retake control of opportunities and CRM responsibilities of projects that continue to be viable but due to any circumstances, fail to meet the defined qualifying criteria, i.e. loss of budget, construction delays, time line delays.
  • As appropriate, share projects in kind with Partners

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field required. Relevant work experience considered
  • 5+ years experience in high-tech business development
  • Excellent communicator – written and verbal – and an able presenter
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with strong technical abilities
  • Proven success following a plan, growing a business, expanding customers and consistently
    winning opportunities
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Complete integrity, with others and self
