On September 12, 2007, the company announced that its name was changing from Imtech Corporation to Activu Corporation, in a move to align the company with its flagship brand.   The new name is the only change in the privately held company which retains the same ownership, management team and locations.

"Since its introduction in 1999, the success of our Activu brand has been significant, to the point where its market profile now overshadows our Imtech name, often resulting in confusion.  By aligning our company and brand under a single name, we believe a clearer message will be delivered to the marketplace”, says Paul Noble, CEO and Founder.

The launch of the new company name was timed to coincide with the introduction of the latest Activu release which sets a new benchmark in control room display technology.  Moving beyond the traditional ability to manage content on display walls, Activu 4.0 extends its functionality to the desktop to create a powerful collaborative visualization environment on any display device connected to the LAN/WAN network, from display walls and panels to desktop monitors and laptops.  The new Activu toolbar delivers a market leading standard in operator ease of use, providing single button access to dynamic information display and sharing functionality.

Today, we are the USA market leader in large scale visualization solutions for the control room market, designing and building more display wall systems than any other single company. We continue to invest in our business, our software and our services, and have greatly expanded our organization, adding strength and diversity to our management, sales force and engineering teams.  This has resulted in a doubling of our sales in 2007 amid very favourable customer reaction to the latest version of our Activu software.
